Oh, Cowdor I really haven't done excessive, conclusive experiments about this.

All I have is this:

Sounds a load of balls.

I plant me earlies (to say the least) into cold sodden March cold clay) for a few years now, I always have the earliest new pots around. 8)

Those diseases, you mention don't have much to do with this.

There is no quick get away, they grow when conditions are right as you see on your heap or volunteers.

BTW I have a potato plant in my garden for about 4-5 years running, as I cant get rid off it. :tongue2:
