they look just fine john  8)

going a bit off topic but some folks rub the sprouts off just leaving 1 or 2 to give them bigger spuds,and leave em all on to get lots of little spuds  :? anyone do this then ?

They look ace, John. :)

Rubbing them out, no, no. Waste of time, they just re-grow, only much later, ie wasn't much point in chitting them.

Great Melvyn says need to be cut out deep with the base, to have any real effect.

It's a recipe taken from Graham Wheeler's book Brew your own real ale at home. The recipe is 'Robinwoods Old Fart'. It's about 6.2% and a very tasty winter ale. I'd definately make this one again.

sorry but that beer looks fantastic, i think once we get moved in ill have to start brewing my own...i remember when my dad used to make it...amazing stuff...think thats where i got my taste for real ale from.

I'd recommend this brew, made from Pale malt, roast barley, crystal malt and goldings hops.......It's lurverly.....hic :D
