Fish pie with pots and either creamed leeks or sprouts.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Nearly forgot to put the beef in  Hopefully there's enough time for it to be cooked for dinner, if not there's a tin of beans in the cupboard and some bread I made this morning.

Just what you didn’t need.  Sounds draining  :(

I think Ms Garbo had it right https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLGCHAO1u-M

I made five lunches today for the two of us - macaroni cheese, which is a staple here!

It took me all morning...

Tomorrow, it's a home-made Cornish Pasty, a great long chap cut into slices and frozen for a new date with the oven around 12.00noon!

I'm beginning to get the hang of this kitchen lark, but every time I make something from a piece of meat from the freezer, I make far too much, and put back more than was there in the first place..:0~

Fish pie with pots and either creamed leeks or sprouts.

It's only recently that I learned that onions/leeks etc., go particularly well with fish!

A tuna and spring onion sandwich is divine, but as Mrs Growster isn't a fan of tuna, it's a rare delicacy, unless I can smuggle a tin in after dark...

My festive eve meal was always fish (either sole, plaice or sea bass) in a white wine sauce with green grapes (a la Veronique) or just try with Hollandaise sauce. Drool!  ;)

Smoked haddock, mash and green beans. One of favourite meals.  Morrisons had it on special offer so we got two pieces, one to eat and one to freeze.

The rest of the beef - I've managed to get out of sync with the shopping and the spud situation is also looking a bit dire.

I've got the slow cooker nearly full with a load of Pinto beans, red pepper, onions, carrots, garlic and a tin of chopped toms - meatballs and some spices, to go in soon. :D
More of the same today  :D
Can I use readymade meatballs  ?   Mrs Bouquet
