Using some mince I found that had already been cooked I've made a lasagne.  I expect garlic bread will feature as the man who does the shopping doesn't think salad bits are food.

He's not wrong you know.  Salad isn't food

I'm back to stew I'd put the last of it in the freezer Friday morning I took it out again this morning  :nowink:

Oven baked garlic chicken & rice with lemon. Recipe says to serve with a green salad, but think it’s a bit cold for that, so probably the usual suspects of carrots, peas & I’ve got a cauliflower, maybe a bit of sliced tomato to pay homage to the salad

Roast chicken leg and peppers, I'm also giving salad a miss today - so it's cabbage and mashed swede  :)

I have leftover sliced beef, seems a no brainer to just do more spuds and veg.

I had another topsy turvy day yesterday when nothing went to plan, so we ended up with the pasta bake I had made for tonight.

Tonight we had the roast dinner we were going to have yesterday, before I ran out of time.  It was pork chops, the last of our plot spuds as roasties, carrot and swede mash from the freezer (last of the swede), broccoli and spoon standing.

Cooked chicken breast added to gently butter sautéed leeks out the back garden, milk, white wine & cornflour to thicken for a sauce, with a pinch of nutmeg & black pepper.
Went well with the last of the charlotte potatoes I put away still in their containers in the garage on July 17th (30l containers, with 4 seeds in each) after cutting the tops off. Charlotte keeps amazingly long by doing this.

I made a pastry flan case for 'just in case' over Christmas, it's been in the freezer but is beginning to get bashed about, so have taken it out to use. Cheese, onion and some soft tomatoes will go in it with the eggs, green beans and a few baby potatoes to go with it.
