We had lots of rain and thunderthis morning  both water butts are full

Our rain showed up around 9. Nothing spectacular, no puddles this morning but everything looks like it's had a good soaking overnight. Temperatures outside is 13c, it's grey with a bit of drizzle and finally there's some air movement, inside is still 25c it's going to take some time to cool everything down.

Heavy rain for 3 hours yesterday evening - 2 whole inches in total! 

Won't do much for  the overall water shortage on its own but it will certainly help revive a few struggling plants in my garden.

Grey, breezy and only 13C at the moment, but I'm not complaining.

Yesterday we had on and off drizzle all day in the end. Today is cool and cloudy but at least it's dry so we can carry on with re-staining the sheds. Not too bad at 17șC

This morning we have high cloud and it's 19C with a fair breeze. We have thunderstorm warnings which coincide with my long awaited Drs appointment, just what I needed NOT!! Will it be on the way there, or on the way back? Pfft..

I know the garden needs a good soaking, but I really don't

We have had rain.  Some this morning for about 30 minutes but this afternoon we had the same again, not enough but a very pleasant surprise.

We've got thunder and can see the lightning over the sea towards Sussex where they said it would come from.  Dark enough to need the big light on, now waiting for the rain.  Had some this morning for about an hour but not very hard.

I manged to get there before the rain started, but had to make a dash to the bus shelter afterwards, thunder, lightning and torrential rain falling for about an hour. Everything is now sodden and weighed down.

We had some heavy rain showers yesterday.  They petered out after dark, but still odd lighter showers were blowing through.  Much the same today so far.

Have not heard any thunder rumbling about, but OH got caught in a big storm on the M4 yesterday with lightening cracking overhead and torrential rain that slowed everyone down to about 30 mph.

Grey, cool and breezy start to the day. Rain due in a couple of hours which will be welcome.

After the soaking yesterday, were back to sunny and warm 21C with patchy high cloud. The warnings of more storms for today, have disappeared 
Lawn has started to green up again already. Will 'the news' show that the gloom laden brown fields will soon be gone, I wonder?

Grey, still and 16c, I've also just put some washing out so I expect we'll have showers the rest of the day    At least the house has finally begun to cool down.

We seem set for a fair day here - bit breezy but sunny intervals and 20șC ish out of the wind.
