i know this has been asked before but not by me :wink:  (yes i'm back and we are now in wales!!)
The garden at the back we have decided on electric fencing as there are plants in it that would cause a problem for a caged area how safe is electric fencing? we do get Mink here so i've been told. here is the link to what we might get

We have sucessfully used 1.2 metre high electric poultry netting for several years. We have 100 metres and run it from a mains box, although initially it was on a battery. The only problem is that it's not really very pretty but never lost a bird to the dreaded fox! The hens soon learn to keep off the fence but I sometimes touch it by accident and it's not nice!
