I've been given some beautiful red rhubarb from my neighbor today, is it still ok to make jam with, sorry if it's been asked before, I've only joined today and a complete novice

I just made chutney with some.
It tends to be a bit stringy at this time of year, but as long as you cut it up into small pieces it should be ok, I'd also add some apple to make sure it sets, as it is low in pectin.
The site recipe for Rhubarb jam uses jam sugar to make it set

After the success of Val's apple chutney (two batches now), I'm going to try her rhubarb chutney.
Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.
