cauli/sprout problems

Hi, I'm relatively new to growing & this is only my second season. I've started lots of seeds off already & most are doing really well except the caulis & sprouts for some reason. The other brassicas look fine. All my seedlings are still in the house at the moment on various window sills & other places. The leaves on the caulis & sprouts are curling up & going brown at the edges & the plants are definitely not thriving & look pale & spindly! I grew my own from seed last year & didn't have this problem. Anyone had anything like this & know the cause? Any advice gratefully accepted
