I have not grown these for a while but have decided to give them a go in tubs.   Any advice please about the best I can easily get and any other hints.    Thanks. Mrs Bouquet

Purple Queen work for me.  I start them early in a coldframe and take the top off once the frost has passed.  Plenty of early beans and easy to spot.

I've grown the Sutton broad bean and Hestia runners in flower buckets successfully.

Sounds OK
I can’t comment really on variety I just use whatever is to hand. ( generally from my collection of seeds picked up at the end of the season)
One thought you might want to consider climbing French beans and a wigwam in the tub. Good idea to ensure you have prepared the tub well with rotted manure/chicken manure pellets/fertiliser whatever you have to hand plus good compost.

I think we have Tendergreen in the allotment shop, but I've also grown the various purple ones successfully.

The tendergreen ones have been more productive for me over the years but saying that, even the purple ones have been more productive than we could eat over the years.

I've grown Delinel, Stanley and Purple Teepee - all are good croppers, the advantage of the Teepee beans is that they're easy to see (the pods turn green on cooking though)
The first 2 have been ( ) awarded AGMs by the RHS
