Hi all
Instead of sending away for garlic bulbs is it any good splitting garlic I grew last year and planting them

As long as the bulbs have kept in good condition, absolutely yes - plant the largest cloves to get the best sized bulbs.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

I was told this is a good way of getting better garlic the following year as the bulbs become accustomed to the soil in your garden
