of chicken i want good eggs lol so any ideas on what would be good

ill have to keep them in a pen it will be a big pen so lots of room

Hybrids are the best egg layers!  These Amberlinks I've got they reckon an lay up to 350 eggs a year, but there is another one that the reckon lays up to 360, but ours are on their first laying year so don't know if its true!!!

Does it have to be hens? Hens lay ok of course but if you want the best its got to be Khaki Campbell ducks

but yeah it has to be hens lol me mum wants fresh eggs

but i dont want plain white hens i like a bit of color  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

I have had 3 hens for almost a year, and they are still each laying 1 a day even in January. They are a bovan's nera Black Star, a meadowsweet ranger and a buttercup. They are all beautiful, live well together and are easy to tell apart!! Year end egg figures for 2007 (hens bought POL Feb '07) were 720!

Nothing wrong with original Slowef 8)
As for egg size, small but quite big yolks. Would use 3 instead of 2 sometimes. They are still yummy tho :lol:
