« on: November 13, 2016, 13:32 »

      Afternoon All

I have had my first success with brussell's, at my third attempt, and now find
I have a surplus. I would like to freeze them, but I,am not sure how to go
about it. If anyone has any idea's I would very much appreciate it. cheers.
keep on digging

Only pick what you need for a few days, they'll keep on the plants

Thanks asking hiccup. My Brussels are coming on and I was wondering whether to harvest or leave on the plant for Christmas. Looks like I have my answer! Thanks all

If you do Blanche them before freezing drop them into icy water to stop them cooking after the required number of cooking minutes. Freeze some tubs of water the day before then plop in to cold water followed by the sprouts

That's a good idea Snowdrop. I usually just run them under the tap on a wire tray, but I'll try that, thank you. arh
