Look good-how many did you plant in the pot? Hoping to harvest mine tomorrow if it stays dry.

Is it a good year for Oca?  I was giving up with them and this year I have some huge ones!

It was much better for me this year because I grew them in pots, last year when I grew them in the ground the slugs had them before they had a chance to get going.

I grew mine in open ground again this year, only to find rats ate almost all of them  :( :(

We had one good feed, and then the blighters discovered this wonderful crop, and I only managed to harvest about ten more tubers, just enough for next year's crop. Maybe pots might be the way forward

My oca harvest so far has been amazing! Dug 2 plants a week or so after one of the only 2 frosts we have had so far this year and the crop was fair, lots of little ones. Waited until Christmas day to dig one more plant and got nearly 1.5kg of the little darlings. Some a very good size and some tiny. Sadly didn't think to take a pic, but will the next root I dig.
Thank you to the group oca parcel from earlier in the year I now have 3 different colours to dig up  and will save some for this year to grow on. If there is another parcel going around I would be happy to donate a few to 'spread the love'  :)
I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things; right now I am so far behind I will never die.
