« on: October 20, 2015, 09:15 »
Chutney is my quest for today , finally got enough toms ready to use , before. My hols i picked a load and layed them out in the conservatory adding more green ones as the otheres ripened and its worked well for me .
so the recipes from delia and sounds interesting its got smoked paprika in there but you have to wait 8 weeks for it to mature .

I would think that using less vinegar would impair the keeping qualities.

I would reboil the chutney with the missing vinegar and repot.

I am getting to the forgetting stage, so I tend to make a pencil dot on the recipe as I put it in and then rub it out after. Or I write the list of ingredients first and tick them off.

The times I have left a vegetable dish in the oven when dishing up and having to fly back to the kitchen to get it after eating half my dinner.
