Heinz tomatoes
« on: August 15, 2015, 16:59 »
Has anyone else been growing these. Mine came free in some magazine or other. Mine appear to be producing very well with the occasional one ripening nicely. A proper full size plum tomato with firm flesh and skin. I might grow them again from saved seed but does anyone know if they are F1 ?

Heinz tomatoes are open pollinated. I believe there are innumerable subcategories of the variety, each ending in a number so variation within the variety is common.
