Actually, my garden looks a bit like in the photograph. I was going to get my son to help me dig it to prepare for the potatoes this weekend. So you think I can just hoe off the top and plant into that?

Well I basically just hoed and raked ... pretty easy really, a bit of bending and digging for the more stubborn ones and the grass clumps but fairly painless !
