If only the seeds blown from the weedy plot next to me grew into a beautiful flower display like that  ;)

Instead I get thistle and rye grass etc  :(

I wish my weeds looked like that!
All I've got is mare's tail and more mare's tail, and then some more mare's tail...............
With loads of mare's tail in between  :(

I'm the last one in the row and there is an area of rough ground about the size of  half an allotment.  I asked if I could make a wildflower meadow, no objection so I set up a trial site to see what flowers would grow and what wouldn't.  Yep,   strimmed the lot.   Why do we bother ! ! !   Cheers,   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

I'll be sad if/when they sort it out as it's really stunning in real life, the picture barely does it justice.

Hey but we get marks on inspection for having an area of allotment like that.

If your site has a rule against flowers - well no peas, strawberries, raspberries and herbs, no borage for your pimms nor beans of any sort. Besides marigolds and sunflowers are edible so well within the food growing rules.  :D
