Prep being done on the courgette bed, hubby said he'll add spent mushroom compost but i thought well rotted manure as they are the same family as pumpkin, squash

So who's right and who's wrong or neither LOL

Either is better than neither, they need lots of water and nitrogen. Poo helps with both, mushroom compost mainly with the former but you can add nitrogen with chicken poo, etc..
