I don't have any seed modules left, but fancy starting off some 'mixed salad leaves'

Is it worth starting them of in wee 2  1/2 " pots ... with just a scattering of seeds in each pot.

What spacing would I then plant out these pots ?

I also have iceberg lettuce, but they were sown and then potted on, before spaced out individually ... I guess mixed lettuce can just go in 'in a cluster'

Yes! Its Lettuce season in our house now. Sow it in little pots, big pots, old Marge tubs, if you sit still long enough in our house you'll get your pockets planted. Just put the first few outside today. Go for it and good luck

I don't know if this is any use or not but Christine bought a lettuce mix yesterday from Lidl. There were 4 lettuces which had grown to the size of a "small" football...they were contained in a pot about 2" square, the pot was just roots!!
So I guess if the growing conditions are right...yes!!
