Carrots, there just coming up, not a true leaf yet, but when one comes can I thin them and replant the one I took out? the reason I ask is because I know they get long not like other veg, so dont know if they will take re planting or not, and my bath looks pachy as well, seems like they have come up in clumps, thanks guys

Carrots do not transplant well. It will inevitably lead to forked roots I'm afraid.

Yea I was thinking that, thats why I put them into a bath with just compost (soft stuff) oh well, thanks

You could always try using a trowel and dig it really well down into a clump, lift it gently, support the clump on the trowel with your hand and replant. Nothing lost if it doeasn't work.

Carrots coming up mine are not even in yet, last yeast stored in sand starting to re grow need to get them used or in the freezer

I am in the south, warmer... but saying that we have a frost 2night (apparently) and I will try the trowel method, like you say whats to lose?
