Third early morning in a row here- why did I choose nursing as a career!!

I would suggest it's either because your a caring person or you like to see blood and gore
I'm a caring person :D

Morning all - up at six to let the hens out and feed and water them. Our blue sky has disappeared under a mist but it is really uncomfortably hot and humid.

Morning all, lovely start to the day again. Having a preserving day today, have windfall apples, pears and apricots as well as cherries and courgettes if I can't sneak them to the compost heap without being seen.....

Morning Tosca. I love apricots so don't go throwing them on the compost heap
Well the polytunnel is up it just needs to be levelled and then tightened and door frames put on. It's MASSIVE   :D

I envy you your tunnel Ma, I would love to have fresh veggies over the winter, but everything is under snow for weeks usually and temps down -20 and below, so not much survives.

And we don't chuck the apricots. Don't go a bundle on jam, but chutney, curd and apricot fool is gorgeous. They are large too, as big as a small peach, lovely straight off the tree. Some of the pears will be bottled today or tomorrow, they are small but sweet and taste just like the ones in cans but with better texture.....and very early.

How lovely Tosca, are the pears usually this early in Bulgaria ? Or is it the strange weather patterns you've been having? When does your winter finish?
