No internet access, It's raining and the internet is a trifle sensitive. However, it's lovely to see rain and the nightingale has not let it put him off, so all is well. :D

Now, will this post?

Can you see the nightingale? Can you record him singing?

Didn't see him as the leaves are out on the pear tree. OH recorded it but had to ask on a birder's group what it was as we are total bird novices. Can't put it on photobucket though, they spoke gobbledegook to me and said no.

It's on the blog, which is found by clicking on the world symbol on the left under my name. The video is on the second last entry (I think) :) No pic of the bird unfortunately,  :(just the pear tree at the front of the house.

Morning all. The world out there in the garden smells earthy and content after a couple of days of gentle rain. However, that didn't help me sleep! And it seems the nightingale has the same problem.

The nightingale, you and me too.

I was ready for an early night at midnight then decided to check my emails before bed.......   a bad move.  >:(

As a result I've spent the entire night sitting here completing some calculations and planning.

It's not a good time to go to bed now as I won't wake up in time to make tea and breakfast for my mother. No Mrs Plots around to give me a call if I over-sleep.  :(

Hang-man anyone?

I think I'll hunt for 'The Singleton' to keep me going.

Ah well. Looks like an early start on the plot for me.

Can't blame the cats or the dawn chorus today.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Don't think so, been awake since 4.00 am, but was trying hard to get back to sleep. Certainly looks like an early appointment with the last two rows of spuds this morning!

Morning all. Looks like another decent day in store. Got to look at a couple of jobs then hopefully back to get my main crop in. I really want them out of the way this weekend. Then I can concentrate on tidying up the edges and also get some parsnips sown.

How early can you plant late broadbeans?

Mine are sat sitting in pots outside the greenhouse. I could nip over and frighten the fox and plonk them before breakfast.  :)

Not so early morning for me but I was awake at 2am until about 4am. If I could have a wish it would be for a full undisturbed nights sleep.

We are expecting some rain so a day in the greenhouse me thinks sorting all them pots out. Anyone want some pots?  :D
