Have spent all afternoon on it and it is with Son and DIL now in case I have left anything out.

I am actually rather good with letters of complaint. Comes from years of writing reports of one sort and another. Mr Bee will cast his eyes on it tomorrow. He has trouble with spellings and the writing side of things being dyslexic but he has a withering turn of phrase verbally.

The lady at PALS was really good. it felt good to be listened to and she was definite that I should write the letter of complaint. She was horrified.

And as for breaking the news it perked Nick up for a few minutes, while I went outside for a bit of a weep.
All very surrealist. I was waiting for the  man with the fishes head to walk down the corridor.

Thanks Snow. I think I am too young to be a gran but there you go. Just hope I will be more relaxed as a gran than I was as a mother. :D

Mornin' everyone  :)
My week of annual leave isn't feeling much like annual leave ::)
Going in for my teaching day today

That brings back memories....... "holidays" and days off spent in school or at home working like mad and even when you can escape the work is always at the back of your mind...never ending.

Long summer holidays? Rubbish - it always took me at least two weeks before I could relax and way before the end of the "holiday" there was planning and prep to do, special needs plans to up-date, assessments to plan, materials to source, teaching & learning materials to prepare.... whilst liaising with other staff and preparing whole school docs / policies.. I forgot classroom display / decorating and organising.

Retirement? To be recommended when you eventually get there...... All I now long for is a proper holiday when I have two or more whole days off a year. Moaning completed for the day... honestly!

Oh that brings back memories.  You could never switch off. And it's even worse now. My ex colleagues tell me their woes.

And report writing time

And late evening parents meetings saying the same things to the same sort of parents who are never going to take your advice. :(

It takes a while to adjust to retirement but at least I am my own boss and no more pointless paperwork.

Er no, wait a mo I still have pointless paper work for my little business and filling in the tax return is really bad paper work too.

We try to stop for a couple of days and go out visiting interesting places or you just fill the time with lots of other busy-ness.

You enjoy yourself me love. You have a good moan.  Sounds like you have the same  scenario as we do. Others dump their jobs on you because you are retired now and have the time. ::)

Well I'm on the senior team of a busy cardiology ward, rather than a school teacher but still I get messages and emails when I'm off about work, offduty requests etc. Plus I've got 2 nights overtime this week so it's really not feeling like a holiday!!  ::)

I'd forgotten about report writing & proof reading
I didn't dislike parents evenings.. takes all sorts

No night shifts thankfully.

In an hours time my caring role should be over until the morning...... then it's relax & playtime for me .....zzzzzzzzz  :D

I'm up early and feeling a bit snotty - not sure if it's a cold or rhinitis :(
Don't feel particularly ill

Head, nose and ear problems? Try "Beconase" nasal spray... but I find "Pirinase" is better. Both are for hayfever relief. I don't suffer from this at all but they are brilliant for clearing your head and, in my case, ears!

Hope your day went ok. Mine is about over....

Or maybe he's not been to bed at all.
