need help with potato sacks
« on: March 06, 2014, 10:33 »
I've bought some seed potatoes again this year to put into my potato sacks, I usually buy grow bags to fill them up, but can't afford it this year! Would it be ok to use rotted horse manure instead? Or should I use a mix of both? Thank you

Never having grown pots in sacks, I would suggest a mix of both as I think manure alone might have drainage problems. You will also need to feed them because manure is more of a soil conditioner than a nutrient-rich medium.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
