Potato sacks and little black flies !!!!

One of my sacks has about ten or so little black flies buzzing out when I move the sack, what are they up to ?

I'd check your spuds, you may have a mouldy one lurking in there.

they are there because you have rotten spud in the sack you need to keep a check on them every so often
