Advice from more experienced members please.I have 6 Old English Pheasant Fowl that will be 18 weeks old next week.I did intend putting them on layers pellets then thought well they wont be laying for a while now that its winter so should i keep them on growers.Ive been told that they are slow to mature anyway so they may benefit from staying on growers.Any thoughts please..Thanks

It is advisable to keep them on growers until they are laying if you can.

Thanks I thought you changed to layers at 18 weeks,pleased i asked.When would you expect them to start laying.the guy in the next allotment said February.

They could lay any time after Christmas. But they will lay when they are ready. from the same brood I have had them start just before Christmas and 4 months later.
