Freshly sawn logs
« on: October 21, 2013, 14:19 »
Afternoon all,
I'm looking at getting some mushroom plugs, and it says to drill and plant into freshly sawn logs. Any idea on the best place I can buy them? Or is it a trip to the woods and a forage job? Oh and if anyone has used these plugs before.....are they any good?

I know people who grow the plugs and they do work. Moreso if you want specific types of mushrooms rather some unknown that could make you deadly ill.

As for the logs, if you can recognize tree bark, then a trip to the woods will work. Just be sure it's not private land, or that you first get permission.
