Seriously.I'm digging my first parsnips next week..frost or not

All these "first frost" sites tell me I should have had one by now, so calendar wise it's time to start digging!

One of them also tells me I should start chitting spuds in the first week in March - mine will have been going a good 4 weeks by then!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Well I dug up two parsnips and had them roasted with dinner yesterday. Great taste, so I'm not waiting for any frost and will just pull up as and when I need them. Especially as it looks like frost will be some time coming this year and the 'nips are a good 12 inches long already.
