« on: September 29, 2013, 07:00 »

Hubby picked 21lb of these apples, i tried one and i think they are eaters bit tart but edible.
Could i also cook with them. I often use eaters and baking apples in my crumbles

You gotta try it! It's all a bit trial and error with old trees. In the orchard at work, I have no idea what any of them are called, just eat them, some are spat out immediately and are good for cooking, some are a bit sweet but bland, and some are good for eating and cooking.
Bit of a glut this year so I hope you find a use for them.
