Yeah, my spaghetti squash are green aliens too. The one that looks like this, like a real spaghetti squash that is, is one I was sure was butternut. Whatever everything is, I'm sure I've got more sorts of squash growing than I actually planted!  :D

Right more help needed, pic number two turned orange and looked good so we ate it, it as the most watery squash i have ever tried with zero flavour at all. Was it eaten too soon. Not knowing what some are is proving a challenge

Pic 2- Acorn Squash
Ah, now that is interesting- I too had one of mine this week (Acorn-Cream of the crop) skin hard set by fingernail test but it didn't seem ripe inside, very pale and seeds not quite formed.  I roasted it, but it wasn't great.  I've got 6 more on the same plant all small football sized.  I think we're too keen BQ  :tongue2:

Given some seeds for turks turban pumpkins. growing into very odd looking things. some of my plot neighbours had been looking at them and thought they were pumpkins that had gone very wrong
They are not huge and I have no real clue what to do with them. Think will wait longer to see if they grow any bigger. Size of large grapefruit so far

I think Turks turban squash have very little flavour - some people just grow them for winter decorations  ;)

Once fully ripe, I used one of mine for a doorstop, one year

They look nice by the hearth, very harvest-festival cheerful  :)

There they are in their 4kg/8.5lb each glory ::)

I can now reveal that my mutant big green veg is...

... A SQUASH!!

Dunno what type though? :D
If it is a spaghetti squash (as it was supposed to be ::) ) how do I cook it to find out?
Currently stuffing this one ;)
