Wireworm and Scab problem

They should be fine in the compost bin --mine always are 


Wireworms are a real pest, but they are relatively easy to deal with.

1.Just pick them out as you dig
2. 'Plant' pieces of cut potato about three inches down, with a marker stick so you can find them again. Take them up once a week and remove wireworms. Replant in a new position.

Scab is worsened by very limy soil so make sure not to lime where you are going to grow your potatoes next year
