has anyone got any tips on getting rid of wire worm, without killing off all iv got planted out

i been ahem, disposing of them when i find them 
not in a gentle way either

I don't think there is an easy way.
They are usually found where a grassed area is turned over to cultivation as the grub feeds on grass roots,
