Is there anyone who knows if there is poultry shows/ live stock markets / auctions in the Norfolk area? Ive heard there is one in swaffham and one in aylsham but i cant get much information about them.

Johnny,  have you tried looking in the dealer directory in the back of Practical Poultry for dealers as opposed to shows?  there's loads in your area.

Well it looks like the shows and auctions will be back on if you find one you like the look of, I've just copied this from the DEFRA website:

Following wide spread surveillance and testing which showed no further signs of disease being present, the Protection Zone around the first infected premises was lifted on 8 December.  On 10 December the Protection Zone around the second infected premises (near Thetford) was lifted.  These zones then became part of the wider Surveillance Zone.

On 19 December, the Surveillance and Restricted Zones were lifted and with the exception of some limited restrictions on the export of certain poultry meat, all movement restrictions of birds and by-products were lifted.

The auction takes place at at:
Eldon Farm Shop Holywell Row This is near Mildenhall in Suffolk.

The auction is held every Wednesday, it starts at 09-30 am

Can anyone tell me if there is a breeder of Rhode Island Reds in an area 30 miles radius of Chichester in West Sussex?

I have taken  all your advice and decided that this is the breed I am going to specialise in.
