Given that I'm growing courgette "di Nizza" for the first time and haven't had a fruit yet I would have loved to have had the opportunity to "get in there" with the little paintbrush today:

A perfect circle of 5 fresh, open female flowers, and above and right in the middle of them the only male flower on the plant.

Unfortunately he (it?) was clearly so carried away by the sight of the surrounding harem of ladies that he was standing proudly upright (and therefore given today's weather literally full of water!!  :nowink:)

JayG retired hurt with soggy paintbrush (don't know what the female flowers were thinking, but I can guess!)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older
