:ohmy:Crikey! I've never preserved anything but have made my own apple and lemon curd... Never makes it to the stage where I need to store it. I better buy that Kilner preserve pan from Wilkos though so that I can start to compete next year...  :D

I asked for a jam pan years ago and everyone laughed, i got it and i have loved every second of owning it.

I love giving jars away as we cant keep them all.

I love to give stuff away too, but don't know many people here. I can give "English" style stuff to my lovely neighbours. They bring out bottles of chutney and cakes to show friends and they all coo over them. Very embarrassing to an English woman. I am hoping for an influx of old friends and family at some point, probably when the temperatures drop below 30, whenever that may be. It is too hot for most at the moment, up as far as 43 last week.. Where's the panting smiley?

Tosca, thats part of the fun of it, sharing.  Too hot for me, I could never live in heat like that.  25 is my temp.

BQ Its not sad at all,  life is about people and sharing.  When you open a jar you know that you made it and it pleases you.  Thats normal.

Wow, you all have such great storage areas! One day I will be able to afford a house rather than a flat - and one with a kitchen big enough to fit at least 2 people in..... :(
