im sorry, I was trying to find the earlier posts with your poetry on, but cant...so heres my effort

We're going furtling, to see whats in our bag,
we are really hoping, that theres some spuds there to be had.

it really is a mystery to what we will find innit,
but please don't worry gentle folk....

i'll tell you straight, i'll tell you true,
we have found more than a few,

and although they all might not be winners,
we've got plenty for the Worms dinners

Well done so what size harvest was it.

Sorry my life is all about counting, weights and harvests.  yet i was rubbish at school, my worst subject.

im afraid im not like that at all...my work involves details and record keeping, so I think that my hobby is make it up as I go along...I just furtled (I love that word)..around until I had a dishful..so to answer your original question  quantity harvested...2 dinners tonight
 as you have said about your liking for beetroot..my wife is the same as you, and I havnt got time to record what we grow...its eaten straight away!

I do intend to start recording sowing/planting dates as when people on here start discussing growing time for potatoes for example, I have no idea when I planted mine
