I went a furtling...
« on: June 27, 2013, 09:16 »
I went a - furtlin',
On a warm summer's eve',
An I found me some tatties,
to 'ave for me tea.

There were 6 li'l beauties,
all snug in the ground,
A nice big handful,
Sweet, yellow and round.

I loves me Charlottes,
All buttery n sweet,
A-fresh from me furtling,
A real special treat.

Made me smile - Love it!
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

Well today I went a-furtling
Poking with my stick,
At first I went quite shallow
So it wouldn't hurt a bit

Dug in a little deeper
Hoped for tubers great and small
But sadly after a good old look
I found, completely * all
