i had a bag of red baron onions sets that i misplaced so did not put in...found it over the weekend....im guessing its too late to sow....what do i do with them - dump them, keep them for next eyar, plant them in autumn. any advise appreciated....or is there a chance i can plant them in now

They probably won't keep until next year and they won't grow now either, as for overwintering, I thought only certain varieties were used for that and Red Barron isn't one of them.

I bought a bag 3 weeks ago and they are about 3 inches high now only cost 29p for 100 so thought it worth a go

but that was 3 weeks ago..... seems a pity to waste them though

o damn, i will probablly just bung them in and at elast get small onions rather than jsut throw it away

you could put them in a tray or pots and use them as spring/green onions.
