Call Ducks Hatching
« on: May 29, 2013, 13:24 »
Hi my call duck is sat on 11 eggs which are due to hatch in about  week.  Should I leave the duckings with her or put them in a brooder???  I have sectioned her off with her own coop/water and food etc  but it still cold and wet up here in the Brecon Hills.....

My broody hen hatched 5 chicks in early February so as long as she has shelter and can cover all of the ducklings she should be fine.  Always best to have a warm brooder up and running just in case of any sickly ones though.   ;)
