Well the third is out and despite it all seems pretty strong. Needed a little help as was a bit shrink wrapped in but once I'd freed the edges it kicked itself out. It is already sat up and flopping around the incubator while it fluffs up. Not long before it can go in with it's brothers.

I will post a pic once fluffed up. Please send girly thoughts as 3 boys would be a little awkward and after all this I don't think I could eat any of them! Would mean I would have to get more girls! ;)
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

Well she's not quite fluffed up but think she is a girl. Will sex them again in a couple of days just to check.

She's in with her brothers now so sure they will teach her the ropes.  :D

Fingers crossed it is a she.  No doubt her brothers will teach her all the wrong things!   ::)  Playing in muddy puddles for starters.

Well they all seem to be muddling along together. Interestingly the boys are a lot more settled and less vocal since the final one joined them. She is pretty quiet but has had a very difficult few days so we will let her off. I'm hoping she will do but guess only time will tell. Goslings do have a higher mortality than duckling so will just have to keep my fingers crossed.

And I thought it was nerve wracking watching them hatched by a broody! Glad these two little ones made it ok.

Well the first 2 are doing very well, eating a huge amount and seem to be growing visibly each day. They look "goosey" already. The little one is a lot smaller but I guess she is only a day old compared to 3. She has started eating so looking forward to her starting to put on weight. She seems pretty bright so fingers crossed.

Will try to get a video of them following me about. They are so funny when they run along. They make the great pattering noise and s they pick up speed they stick out their little stumpy wings. Cracks me up ever time! :D

Hmm. Now I think I might have 2 girls and a boy!

Have had a second go at vent sexing them. The first out is definitely a boy and is called William. The second I thought was a boy but unable to see his penis now. There are some very pronounced corrugations which may have been what I mistook for a penis - or I just didn't manage to deliver it this time. So far still looks like the little one is a girl but she is tiny so hard to be 100% sure.

  Don't think my eyes would be able to focus on something that small.  Fingers crossed for 2 girls and 1 boy.   ;)
