planted some redcurrant bush's back in February and they are not looking good ....... gooseberry bushes looking great next to them but the redcurrant twig has gone black

anyone else got any life in their red currant bushes yet ? or is mine done for

Mine's flowering - 2 yr bush bought last October.

But one of my 4 new gooseberries has died over winter, am very pleased the company is going to replace it.

Mine's got lots of leaves on, no flowers as yet, but I thought it had died, so I'm quite pleased.

Mine have come to life, and they were moved over the winter too. Pick a branch near the root and scratch the bark off. If it's vibrant green, then it's probably OK. If it's pale green or yellow/brown then the bush is probably dead. Bad Luck.
