Get them in - but be quick about it!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

My fav's for autumn are Joan J and Zeva. Put a handful of bonemeal in each planting hole.

I ordered some joan j from suttons and they are due tomorrow (to meet their 14 day delivery) claim.

I'll get them planted asap but realise that getting much fruit this Autumn is becoming unlikely. Still, they'll be established well by the following Autumn and time flies.

You might be surprised at how many raspberries you harvest. I planted Joan J last year on 25th March, they grew well and I was harvesting big bowlfulls every week for at least a month - it was starting to get difficult to think of new things to do with them !

11 Joan J in 2 rows
12 Glen Lyon in 2 rows

All in an 8ft * 5ft bed.

Not much off the Glen Lyon at all as they are summer fruiting, but the Joan J - crikey!
