Am i correct in thinking that planting my carrot seeds dirct into my raised bed i should wait a few days/weeks til it gets a bit warmer

From the First & Last Diary of March 9th.
Sowed a double row of Early Nantes 2 carrot under plastic cloches.

They were showing through about three days ago.

So would i be correct in thinking if i put some in my raised bed covered with some clear plastic sheet they may stand a chance??

I'd put some plastic over and let the soil warm up for a few days, before sowing

Or why not just sow them without any fuss. They will probably grow. That is what nature intended.

true....maybe i will pop them in, in a day or so straight into the ground and pray it gets a bit warmer!
