Sowing in Modules

Hi Folks,

I want to start off some veg in modules - beetroot, cabbage, cauli, broccoli, celery and celeriac but I am not sure what sort of compost to use - should I use multi purpose, seed or potting on compost.  Also should I cover the seed with compost or vermiculite?

Thanks a million Digger - I am off out to the Greenhouse now for a bit of therapy.  Weather here isn't quiet as bad as the UK seems to be having it although it is still cold for this time of year, we are averaging 6 to 7 degrees and around 0 at night but once you are in out of the wind it isn't too bad so I have been able to keep the greenhouse at about 5 degrees will only very little additional heating.
