my new pekins laid me ther first egg since i got them and i couldnt beleive the size now im not daft i knew they where smaller but it is smaller than a cadburys cream egg i cant wait to crack it open and have a taste lol

Congratulations, it still takes me by surprise when they lay their first egg.

They  may get a little bigger as times goes on. All of my regular chickens lay smaller eggs to start with.

My first bantam eggs were small but got larger. They're absolutely delicious too :) Enjoy!

The nice thing about bantam eggs is that usually, the yolk isn't that much smaller than a 'proper' egg, but there is less white.  Which is good if you like the yolk best, which I do!   ;) ;)

cheers folks this chicken keeping game sure is addictive im extending again for the second time on 1 side of my 8x4 coop and roun we added 2ft for my bantys now i just got hold of a 7x5 shed for the other side cant wait to crack on with it
