I recently lost my brother on the 28th of February and was looking to plant a variety of plant that contains his name. I am also looking to do the same for my mother who's anniversary is quite soon also.
My brothers name was David but was known as Dave and my mum's was Kathleen but went as Kate.

Any suggestions welcome I would ideally like a perennial though

There's a perennial white Phlox named David. For a white, it's very prolific too.

There is a strongly scented musk rose named Katheen, which has very pale pink single flowers


and a hardy fuschia named David too
