I dug out the 'Honeybear' squash bed and dug in some bought manure and some of my own lovely stuff!

Weeded the long thin bed containing turnips, beetroot, radishes (now harvested), spring onions and perpetual spinach (x 12 plants)

Sowed more radishes in the previous spot they were in.

Ben dug over the mess by the shed (so now I have to look after this over winter) still waiting to get new shed ;)

Neatened the celeriac again - removing leaves and one had a small flower growing - hopefully it was so small the root will forget it was trying to bolt!! :D It was the only one after all!!
Fed them with chook manure pellets

Weeded the newest leek bed and fed them - they have started to grow- probably pencil thick now - fingers crossed they went out soon enough to develop fully.

Then on the home 'plot'  :D I rearranged and thoroughly cleaned the front room for the 'winter look'

Just back from mine ;) All the beans are well and truly battered but poles are still where they should be.

The squash trailing branches were all over the place, so did a bit of rearranging, I don't really want to take the fruits in yet

The shelling beans are beginning to crisp so picked some and put them in the shed before they get blown onto the soil.

Picked another bowlful of raspberries - the rain came just in time for the Autumn ones, they're fattening up nicely :)

Did some caterpillar squashing, even though they're under netting  Brassicas on other plots, with no nets, are reduced to skeletons - either 'pillars or birds

It had blown one sheet of polycarb from the greenhouse (recovered and replaced) but the plastic greenhouse survived the storm! The beans battered but not down. The jerusalem artichokes equally battered but not down either! Biggest set back is the darned rain!!

Raked and hopefully levelled the bed that was the broad beans and is going to be the winter onions.  I'm rubbish at levelling.
Watered and weeded the greenhouse, which was nice and cosy.
Weeded some of the beds.  Everything is going down now, it is very autumnal.
The sweet pea wigwam has even more of a lean.

Weeded around the gooseberries and rhubarb. Straightened up the drawf apple tree that I planted last week, the high winds had moved it despite having staked it.

Spent the morning re-erecting the bean poles that had been blown over by the gales.   Harvested the beans first though.    The two rows are now secured with rope held down with paving slabs.   Thankfully the plants themselves seem unscathed.

Fed the winter squash with comfrey tea and did some more harvesting.
