I was going to edit my previous post to add the rest to it, but can't seem to do that.

Anyway, hoed some more, bought PSB & Brussel plants to put in tomorrow (if the weathers anything like).

Cleared the Broad Beans ready for the above to go in tomorrow.

Also bought some Rosemary & Sage plugs.

Gave everywhere a good weed, mowed the back of the plot that I have not yet started on, sowed a row of swede, put out the last of the leeks and watered a bit.

Soo many visits to the plot today  :tongue2:
Managed to acquire some free slabs from one of the Facebay selling pages, so they got laid.
The found someone selling some for a £1 a slab, so the plot is finally all paved where it needs to be (i.e where it floods and we have paths)
Couple of visits to harvest, and final trip of the day just done to water in the greenhouse.

Spend ytd: £293.44 (setting up plot 29 has been expensive) Harvest ytd: £163.93 (as at 8/8)

A fairly quick visit for the whole family, we planted out some ruby chard seedlings, sowed another row of spring onions, put some straw under the pumpkins, harvested and our youngest planted out his sunflower and picked his first peas (and ate them there and then  :))

Slabs on our 3 local freecycle groups seem to be really hard to come by. They are one of the most commonly requested "wanted" items, and any that do appear seem to get snapped up in next to no time.
£18 today to finish the plot and stop us walking on a bog when it rains at that end of the plot was a price worth paying!

Tidied up the tomatoes in the poly and watered everything in there, got to grips with the caterpillers on the sprouts inside and out. Yes I know you dont need to grow them in the poly , but I had 3 left, so shoved them in and now they look like something growing on steriods   .
Picked some peas, carrots and pak choi for tea tonight picked my first tom from the green house Oh what a wonderful taste that was. Also lifted the cauliflowers and they are now blanched and ready to go in the freezer.
