Are you sure they are sets and not seeds?
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Thanks all!

I ordered sets from Marshalls last Tuesday (thanks Dionne) - still waiting for them to arrive. I hope they arrive before end of this week as I'll be planting this weekend.

God only knows what state my plot is in. Haven't been for over a week, but Al's been to drop the raw veg and fruit waste into the compost bin (he got tired of having to look at the heap in a trug in the balcony which is his smoking boudoir lol).

He says all is well, but still.....

Trying organic gardening. Hoping to stick to it.

Deffo sets here too. I had a moment of doubt when I read this question Noshed, but I came home this evening and there they were waiting for me

So that's my weekend booked up then. Garlic and onion set planting. Think I'll pass on the broad beans though   . Will put them in in the Spring.

I'm amazed at how tiny the sets are 0 thought they'd be the size of a medium strawberry :?

Thanks guys for your suggestions!

How small are they then Jac? Mine were about the size of silverskin pickled onions.

They are tiny. Size of the top third of my forefinger (for luck of a better description). Average diameter is smaller or maybe equal to a 5p coin.

And I think I ordered too much. Will be sharing with Gilbert (lottie neighbor and pal), but still too much. I got 2 packs each of red and white onions. Will weigh them when I get home tonight... There's easily at least 100 sets per pack. Will count them too with little Joshua tomorrow.

Can I save what I don't use till next year? Will they keep?
