all 6 of mine are doing really well being cosseted in the garden with the tomatoes. not going to eat any, well maybe just a taste, so I can get a really good crop next year as they cost about £8. I thing they will make good edging plants for the triangle beds at the lotty

Mine are in a bed with some tomatoes, when they were put they turmed a fetching shade of purple  but seem to be a bit happier now, but some proper summer weather would help, I think

Mine are growing nice and strong looking, gradually. They're about a foot tall, whilst one is twice that, healthy looking, green and bushing out nicely. :)

Mine seem to be doing well too but the top growth at one end looks like it may have got a bit top heavy and fallen over (either that or a pigeon did a crash landing in the middle of the patch  ::))  I had also increased the number of plants from the original tubers by putting the long shoots into water to root (my fault - I had left the tubers in the packet too long not realising they needed to be chitted like potatoes ) and they are coming along nicely too.  It'll be interesting to see if they produce quality tubers along with the main ones.

So after trying a few of the tubers to make sure I do actually like them I want to keep the rest to grow & share next year.
Do I leave them in the ground & maybe cover or do I lift them & store them ready for next year. I have to do this right as my allotment is rather sparse this year & I cant afford to lose a single thing that has survived the elements!

I believe you lift and store, but it's my first year too so it's all a learning curve.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Leave them until they are big and fat, which might be late November or even later, well after the foliage has died down.

Then dog them up and keep them cool until ready to plant.... or leave them in and they come up again, but a bit crowded together
